Directions to Washington
GETTING TO WASHINGTON STATE:The state is located in the extreme Northwest corner of the continguous United States. It is bordered by Oregon to the South, Idaho to the East and the Canadian Province of British Columbia to the North. The Western side of the state is bordered by the Pacific Ocean.
DRIVING: All areas of the state can be reached by major Interstates or good state roads. Running North-South through the Western part of the state is Interstate Five which comes from Oregon and continutes up to British Columbia where it becomes Canadian Highway 99. Another North-South Route is Interstate 82 from Hermiston Oregon, up through the tri-cities of Pasco, Richland and Kennewick. It continues North through Yakima eventually becoming highway 97 and crossing Wenatchee, Chelan and the Okanogan Valley before reaching Canada.
Interstate Ninety runs East-West in the almost center of the state coming from Idaho, through Spokane in Eastern Washington and terminating in Seattle to the West. Other East-West highways are Highway 12 in the Southern part of the state and Highway 2 in the northern part.
FLYING: There are major international airports in Seattle Tacoma area (Western Washington) and Spokane in Eastern Washington. Access to the state is also easy from Portland International in Portland Oregon, just across the river from Vancouver Washington (not Vancouver BC) in the Southern part of the state and from Vancouver BC just across the border from Blaine and Bellingham Washington in the Northern region of the state. There are also jet serviced airports in Wenatchee, Yakima and the Tri-Cities.
RAIL: Amtrak provides passenger rail service North-South through Seattle Tacoma and East West through Spokane to Seattle.
Directions to Snoqualmie Pass
GETTING TO SNOQUALMIE PASS:Snoqualmie Pass is a major mountain pass located on Interstate 90 between the major metropolitan areas of Seattle Washington on the West Side and Spokane, Washington in the Eastern side of Washington State. It is approximately 50 miles from downtown Seattle.
From the Seattle Area:
- Get on Interstate 90 heading East
- Proceed up towards Snoqualmie Pass
From Eastern Washington:
- Get on Interstate 90 heading West towards Snoqualmie Pass
Directions to Summit Area
From the Seattle area:- Get on Interstate 90 heading East
- Proceed up towards Snoqualmie Pass
- Take the first Snoqualmie Summit exit #52.
From North of Seattle:
- Go South on Interstate 5 toward Seattle.
- Just South of downtown Seattle, take Interstate 90 East.
- Proceed up towards Snoqualmie Pass
- Take the first Snoqualmie Summit exit #52.
From South of Seattle:
- Go North on Interstate 5 toward Seattle.
- Just South of downtown Seattle, take Interstate 90 East.
- Proceed up towards Snoqualmie Pass
- Take the first Snoqualmie Summit exit #52.
From Eastern Washington:
- Get on Interstate 90 heading West
- Up and over Snoqualmie Pass.
- Take the second Snoqualmie Summit exit #53.
Directions to this property
DIRECTIONS TO THE CENTRAL CHALET:- At the bottom of the exit, go RIGHT along the access road
- Proceed about 1 mile.
- You will pass the Summit-at-Snoqualmie "West" Ski area on the right.
- You will pass a Chevron Station and the Family Pancake House on the Left.
- Go approximately 1.5 miles. Look for a sign on the left "Conifer Estates"
- Turn left onto that road.
- At 4-way Junction Turn Left onto South Olson
- The road curves back and forth some.
- Central Chalet is the Fourth House on the Right
- Proceed to 270 South Olson
WINTER DIRECTIONS:
The house is accessible in winter but please remember there can be great amounts of snow that make locating properties difficult. We recommend arriving at the property between 5pm and 6pm while there still mak be light.
- 4 WHEEL DRIVE IS RECOMEDED to enter the Conifer Estates with your motor vehicle in the Winter.
IN THE EVENT THE DRIVEWAY IS INACCESSIBLE
- There are four ski areas at Snoqualmie Pass. The directions for this house are from Summit CENTRAL ski area.
- From the Summit Central Ski Area Parking lot procede 1.5 blocks WEST
- After passing 3 driveways, Turn Right into 4th driveway (which is actually a small road).
- At 4-way Junction Turn Left onto South Olson
- The road curves back and forth some.
- Central Chalet is the Fourth House on the Right
- Proceed to 270 South Olson
NOTE: Car can only be parked in road to load/unload.
- IF YOU PARK OVERNIGHT IN FRONT OF THE STEPS YOU WILL BE TOWED
- Driver must return to car and park it at the Summit Central parking lot.
